At LAE our PTA raises approximately $30,000 per year to cover the cost of field trips, transportation, assemblies and other “extra” costs. We have a playground equipment fund and give the teachers a little money to spend on classroom items, as well as do free activities for the kids.
To make this money, we only do one door-to-door fundraiser per school year. This event typically covers 1/3 of our required funding. The rest is covered in event participation and “free-money” opportunities for our school.
